John Sprengelmeyer has collaborated extensively with filmmaker, actor, and comic creator Kevin Smith across multiple mediums. He co-created and illustrated Maskerade for Dark Horse Comics, and has produced logos, illustrations, and visual assets for Smith’s movies, podcasts, live events, and branded projects. John designed the logo and storefront for Smith’s comic store, Jay & Silent Bob’s Secret Stash, as well as numerous in-store artworks for display and sale. He created the poster and complete visual package for Jay & Silent Bob Present CRUISE ASKEW, used on signage, banners, cameras, and giveaway items throughout the ship. John also developed props and mock comic covers for Smith’s film Jay & Silent Bob Reboot and Clerks 3, including a fictional history for the superhero “Ranger Danger,” and designed logos and artwork for Smith’s podcasts (Fatman on Batman, Fatman Beyond), his world tour, and pop-culture events such as ChronicCon, which appeared in Jay & Silent Bob Reboot and became an actual convention. Across these projects, John’s work has helped define the visual identity and immersive experience of Kevin Smith’s creative universe.
